Lafarge's three UK divisions are to join forces to celebrate sustainability at EcoBuild

Sustainability will be the main focus of 725 Lafarge's participation in the 2011 EcoBuild show in London, UK which is scheduled to take place between 1 and 3 March this year. The company's stand will bring together its three divisions - aggregates and concrete; cement; and plasterboard - for the first time at the show to highlight "how its vision focuses on keeping sustainability at the forefront of the business' operation".Lafarge 4298 Readymix marketing manager Felicity Jelly said, "This will be a pioneering event for Lafarge in the UK. We will showcase how nature plays an essential role in our business, how it inspires us, motivates us and drives our commitment to supporting sustainable construction."

Lafarge's directors and experts will be engaging openly with Lafarge's partners, stakeholders and the whole EcoBuild community throughout the course of the 2011 show. Jelly said that a key theme for the show will be how Lafarge products and the commitment of its employees are making a real contribution to reducing the environmental impact of its operations. Lafarge will also unveil a uniquely designed sculpture to illustrate how it brings materials to life for a more sustainable future.
