Finnish wood subsidy criticised

Janne Leppänen from Finland has taken the title of best construction equipment operator at the 2014 Case Rodeo International Final.

Finnish Destamatic is developing new recycled products together with the Lappeenranta University of Technology, such as wood-plastic and wood-cement made with the Destaclean concept.

The company says it is the first in the world to make recycled composite products from building waste. The first product patented by the company is a garden stone of wood-stone composite. The product contains 30% wood from building waste and the remainder is stone.

Topcon Positioning Group has acquired DynaRoad, a construction software company in Helsinki, Finland. Topcon also announced the establishment of the Topcon Helsinki Technology Centre in conjunction with the acquisition.

In 2011, Topcon Positioning Systems (TPS) acquired a significant share of DynaRoad, a company that develops project management software specifically designed for large-scale construction projects such as highways, tunnels, railways, area developments and harbour developments.
