Later this year the 2904 Institute of Quarrying (IQ) will be moving to a new building on the outskirts of the city of Nottingham, England, which will serve as both a new centre of excellence for education and training for the extractive sector, and also a meeting ‘hub’ for a range of industry organisations.

The IQ currently shares offices with 4255 QMJ Publishing and 4257 Agg-Net.com, and the new meeting facility will be fitted out with state-of-the-art audio-visual and teleconferencing equipment and will be readily accessible to visitors via J25 of the M1 motorway, as well as being close to national rail and air links.

The building will be shared with IQ’s training partner, the 6154 Mineral Products Qualifications Council (MPQC), and a new Executive Director is being sought to lead both staff teams.

QMJ Publishing, who also run the Hillhead show, Quarry Management magazine and a range of services for the natural stone industry, will remain at the existing office in the centre of Nottingham under the direction of Jack Berridge
