The design of the HM250-2 is based on the concept of Komatsu's HM300-2 which the company claims offers a good top speed and manoeuvrability, as well as a shorter front clearance. The machine also features forced oil cooled multiple disc brakes.
The new ADT is powered by a 232kW SAA6D125E-5 - ecot3 engine which has optimised combustion timing, ignition and a specially designed combustion chamber to reduce fuel consumption, NOx and particulates emissions, and noise levels.
Komatsu's HM250-2 has a ROPS/FOPS cab which the company claims is spacious and offers good visibility. The machine also has an air suspension seat, the hydro-pneumatic suspension and viscous cab mounts help maintain a comfortable, quiet and low-vibration working environment at all times.
