Holcim to set up a new mill in Lampung, Indonesia

Holcim Indonesia plans to capitalise on the growing demand for cement to fuel infrastructure projects in the eastern part of Sumatra by setting up a new mill in Lampung. Its president director Eamon John Ginley would not to reveal the investment value to construct the new mill as well as the mill's capacity. Holcim is scheduled to open the new mill in April-June 2015.

Semen Indonesia plans to set up more cement plants

Indonesia's state-run cement maker Semen Indonesia has announced it will carry out an expansion to the west and build an additional cement factory in Aceh to meet higher demand in the province.

This will come after the company's plan to set up a cement plant in Papua. The company is planning to set up a cement plant in Kalimantan and Sulawesi, aside from Aceh, its finance director is reported as saying.
