Maintenance and service training for construction tools has been boosted by 385 Atlas Copco through the opening of a new dedicated learning centre in Swede. The facility in Kalmar will be used for internal training activities for hydraulic attachments, handheld construction tools, maintenance, servicing and concrete and compression technology.

The new 150m2 workshop houses up to six work stations, where products can be explained and servicing and maintenance tasks practised, while outside space will allow trainees to try out the tools themselves. A classroom allows for up to 40 people to attend training sessions and the room can be sub-divided into four smaller group rooms for more detailed sessions.

"Continuous training is essential for our employees due to constant further development and products which need explanation," said Atlas Copco Construction Tools vice president of marketing Peter Lauwers. "It is our aim to hold around 100 training days per year at our Kalmar training centre."
