The Lokotrack EC mobile crushers offers a hybrid solution, combining the reliability of a diesel-hydraulic system with the efficiency of electric-powered process functions. The flexibility to switch between diesel for mobility and electricity for crushing and screening processes ensures that the machines perform efficiently, even in remote areas with limited power infrastructure.
Among the key benefits of the Lokotrack EC range is its potential to significantly reduce operational costs and CO2 emissions. Electricity is consistently cheaper than diesel, and the electric-powered process functions lower significantly the fuel consumption even when operating with the diesel engine.
The machines in the Lokotrack EC range are designed with the ease of use and sustainability in mind. They use only 80 liters of hydraulic oil, which minimizes environmental impact. Same parts between models, new remote control to set-up the machine and a new process control system simplifies maintenance. Additionally, all the electric components are globally available to ensure getting quickly back to crushing.
Extended lifespan with modular upgrades
Metso’s €20 million R&D investment in the Lokotrack EC range underscores its commitment to advancing sustainable solutions in the aggregates industry. The new platform is modular, enabling machines to be upgraded with new equipment to meet different applications and capacity needs as end-product requirements change. It also integrates advanced digital tools for process control, further improving efficiency and safety at the site.
The first two models of the range are the Lokotrack® LT400J with proven Nordberg® C120 jaw crusher, and the Lokotrack® LT350C that features the new Nordberg® HP350e crusher.
