The Mineral Products Association says that a "world first" technology demonstration project it has conducted with Hanson UK has successfully seen a cement kiln operated using a net zero fuel mix including hydrogen for the very first time.
The trial at Hanson Cement’s Ribblesdale plant in Lancashire is using a mix of 100% net zero fuels for commercial scale cement manufacture.
