The SMT V-360o Expo enables 'visitors' to walk around a virtual exhibition of Volvo Construction Equipment in 3D, and can be explored in virtual reality if they own a VR headset.
Volvo CE dealer SMT says it has made the move in light of the cancellation of major industry events following COVID-19.
Visitors can virtually climb into the cab of each machine for a full 360o view from inside, which includes a look at the Volvo Co-Pilot software. Clicking on the orange markers located on each machine enables the visitor to obtain more information about key features, look into engine bays, download brochures and watch videos.
The exhibition features a wide range of Volvo Construction Equipment including an A30G articulated hauler, L150H and L70H agriculture specification wheeled loader, EC220E, ECR145EL, EC140E excavators, EW240E material handler, L35G compact wheeled loader and EC18E, ECR35D ECR50D and ECR88D compact excavators. The new EC950F excavator also features, though in scale model form as it was too large to fit into the virtual building.
