RMA Group will distribute Terex trucks to customers operating in Laos

467 Terex Construction has signed with leading infrastructure solutions provider, RMA Group, to distribute Terex trucks to customers operating in Laos. RMA now provides full sales, service and parts support for both the Terex articulated and rigid truck ranges, which are manufactured in Motherwell, Scotland, UK.

RMA specialises in providing essential products and services to economies in transition, working alongside the development community in emerging and post-conflict markets to build or rebuild local infrastructure. They foresee Terex trucks being used in such projects. RMA already operates a global dealership network of heavy equipment and power products. The company also currently represents global brands in the automotive industry such as 4568 Ford, Mazda, Land Rover, GM, Mercedes-Benz, TATA, and 3114 Mitsubishi-Fuso.

“We are pleased to welcome RMA as our newest Terex trucks distributor,” says Jon Bennett, regional director for Terex trucks in the Asia Pacific region.

“With an excellent reputation in the mining and construction industry, and a strong geographical presence across more than 21 markets, RMA is a perfect fit for us and our customers. We were particularly attracted to RMA’s proven track record of  providing a world class supply and support network throughout Indo-China since 1986, and also its dedicated in-house heavy equipment expertise. Providing excellent support to our customers after the sale is extremely important to us and it was vital we found a distributor with the same ethos - in RMA, we found it.”

Olivier Gaiemet, director of heavy equipment division for RMA, commented: “When looking to expand our heavy equipment fleet we wanted tough machines that could stand up to the demands put on them by the mining and construction industries. By working with Terex we are joining forces with a global brand that has extensive experience in mining and construction and which manufactures a product that is renowned for its robust design and ability to be used in heavy duty applications. Together, we have a great synergy and relationship in terms of the product and support we can offer. We’re looking forward to offering our customers trucks that are best in class, offer excellent fuel efficiency and superb performance.”

Terex trucks are built in Scotland, UK, and benefit from more than 63 years’ of manufacturing experience. The facility utilises the latest technologies and techniques to deliver world class products and has recently seen a multi-million pound investment in its manufacturing efficiency capabilities.

Terex offers three articulated truck models ranging from 25-38tonnes and five rigid truck models ranging from 32-9 tonnes.
