Ascendum Maquinaria has partnered with
Headquartered in Madrid, leading construction equipment provider Ascendum Maquinaria has been appointed by Terex Trucks to supply and support its rigid haulers across Spain. Established in 1999, the dealership has customers active in various sectors including construction and infrastructure.
“Ascendum Maquinaria is happy to add Terex Trucks’ machines to our offering as it enables us to present customers with a wider range of equipment,” says Raúl Juarranz Castro, segment manager at Ascendum Maquinaria. “After a long recession, the market in Spain is now in recovery and while business for earthmoving, quarrying, and mining is slowly picking up, it’s important that we remain competitive, and that’s why the partnership with Terex Trucks is great.”
Ascendum Maquinaria is part of Ascendum Group, which is one of the world's largest distributors of machinery made by Terex Trucks’ parent company Volvo Construction Equipment. Founded in 1959, the Ascendum Group is active in four major business lines – industrial machinery, infrastructure equipment, trucks, and cars. An industry leader, the company runs operations in Angola, Mexico, Portugal, Turkey and the USA.
Spain is on the rebound from recession and following three years of steady growth, the country’s economy is one of the fastest-expanding in Europe. With forecasts of sustained progress, the vibrant nation is expected to see the return of big investors leading to a one million rise in job creation over the next two years. To aid the brightening prospects in Spain, Terex Trucks’ rigid haulers are well suited to provide the versatility that the country’s varied sectors require.
Made in Motherwell, Scotland, Terex Trucks’ four rigid dump trucks – the TR45, TR60, TR70, and TR100 – offer payloads ranging from 41 to 91 tonnes. The proven performers present the perfect balance of power, torque, and effective gearing, coupled with optimum weight distribution to move more material in less time, with less fuel.
Furthermore, the hydraulic disc brakes deliver better operator control, while the transmission retarder decreases brake wear, reducing ownership costs and increasing machine availability. The air suspension also bears the load through variable-rate nitrogen-over-oil type struts, which ensure a smoother ride, reduce operator fatigue and maximise production.
Guy Wilson, global sales director at Terex Trucks, comments: “The appointment of Ascendum Maquinaria in Spain is a welcomed addition to Terex Trucks’ dealer footprint. The company has a good share of the market and our robust rigid trucks complement their existing range. We’re confident that Maquinaria will serve the central need of customers not only at the purchase point but also with excellent aftermarket support.”
