436 Komatsu Europe International is introducing its HM400-3 articulated truck, which the company says offers a completely redesigned traction control system; automatic retarder and Komatsu’s new engine emission technology, combined with an optimised cabin layout and increased durability.
It features a gross vehicle weight of 73,740kg with a payload of 40tonnes at its maximum ground speed of 55.9km/hour, and is powered by a Komatsu SAA6D140 engine that is EU Stage IIIB and EPA Tier 4 Interim emission certified.
Komatsu says that the engine provides increased horsepower while lowering fuel consumption and emissions, and that its new Komatsu Traction Control System (K-TCS) automatically provides optimum traction on any type of ground.
“Through body design optimisation, the HM400-3 features increased body capacity and payload. The low 3,164mm loading height easily matches with 30-60tonne hydraulic excavators or 3.8m³- 5.7m³ wheel loaders.
The new HM400-3 is equipped with the latest KOMTRAX technology which provides daily machine information through a secure website utilising wireless technology.
