Biodegradable cement bag launched

Italian cement manufacturer Ciments Calcia has launched a new cement bag which is biodegradable and compostable.

Italian cement manufacturer 1607 Ciments Calcia has launched a new cement bag which is biodegradable and compostable.

The BioSac by Calcia is made up of Biolice (100% natural) and guarantees a 96% breakdown rate.

Ciments Calcia has also standardised its CTB Palettes cimentières pallets in an effort to be more ecologically friendly.

The pallets have shown a 30% increase in resistance and use 15% fewer raw materials.

BioSac and CTB Palettes cimentières are part of Ciments Calcia's environmental plan, which was launched in 2010.
