The membership of the Global Cement and Concrete Association (GCCA) continues to grow with the addition of six new member companies from Europe, South America and Asia.

Italy-based Buzzi Unicem; Colombia-based Cementos Argos; Peru-based Cementos Pacasmayo; Turkey-based Çimsa Çimento; Thailand-based SCG Cement; and Greece-based Titan Cement were the cement and concrete firms that joined as GCCA members in August 2018 – taking total membership companies to 16.

In addition, the GCCA has welcomed the US-based 4353 Portland Cement Association as an Affiliate.

Albert Manifold, chief executive officer of CRH and GCCA president, said: “We are delighted to welcome further cement and concrete companies and like-minded organisations to the GCCA. The GCCA was set up to provide the authoritative global voice for this essential sector. With every new member, that voice becomes even stronger.”

The six new members and affiliates join ten existing member companies: CEMEX, CNBM, CRH, Dangote, Eurocement, HeidelbergCement, LafargeHolcim, Taiheiyo, Ultratech and Votorantim.

Further applications for member and affiliate status have been received and are being processed.
