Nine cement and concrete companies launch Global Cement & Concrete Association

Nine cement and concrete companies have launched the Global Cement & Concrete Association (GCCA) with the intention of demonstrating how concrete solutions can meet global construction challenges and sustainable development goals, while also showing industrial leadership in the manufacture and use of cement and concrete.

GCCA comprises Cemex, CNBM, CRH, Dangote, Eurocement, HeidelbergCement, LafargeHolcim, Taiheiyo and Votorantim who will focus on issues such as sustainable development and urbanisation, as well as climate change mitigation and adaptation.

Additionally, GCCA aims to adopt innovation through the construction value chain, in collaboration with industry associations and inspiring engineers, innovators and architects.

The association is headquartered In London, complementing and supporting the work done by existing associations at national and regional level. GCCA membership is available to Global Cement manufacturers who share the organisations values, and partnerships are intended to be developed with companies that who its vision.
