Drones, explosives and the environment are among the issues being discussed at a regional meeting being held by the Aggregates and Sand Producers Association of South Africa (8844 ASPASA).

The meeting takes place on July 9 at Drift Supersand, Plot 121, Abraham van Wyk Road, Muldersdrift, Gauteng Province, starting at 9am.

Presentations will include "Update on Explosives - Explosives Update by ASPASA" by Corrie Rautenbach; "Waste, water and other environmental issues - update on ASPASA About Face Audit (Community Pressure)" by Lizette van der Welt; and "The role of drones in the mining industry and safety officer drone training (Legal and Community Pressure)" by Mandy Tebbit and Rick Bosman.
