Heracles says the investment expands the geographical footprint of its aggregates business and strengthens its competitiveness in the dynamically developing market of Attica, which encompasses the Athens metropolitan area.

The group adds that the acquisition gives it the ability to sell an expanded product portfolio of aggregates for use in the production of concrete, bituminous concrete, cement, plaster and paving, enabling the complete support for its customers each construction infrastructure project.

In concrete sector, the Heracles Group says intends to immediately sell its new 'green' series of concretes with low carbon footprint ECOPact from the new production units. It adds that this reaffirms its commitment to leading the transition to lower carbon footprints.

Heracles Group CEO Dimitris Chanis commented: "It is with great pleasure that we welcome the new employees to the large family of the Heracles Group and to an environment of excellence, trust and respect. We continue our dynamic investment programme, confirming the faith of our group in the possibilities and prospects of the Greek society and national economy."
