The collaboration agreement between Marmomac, the leading international stone industry exhibition, and Italian institutions has been renewed for the third year.

The 2017 edition from 27-30 September in Verona, Italy, is organised by Veronafiere, and will again benefit from a major programme of initiatives, implemented thanks to the Special Made in Italy Promotion Plan enacted by the Ministry of Economic Development in collaboration with ICE (Italian Trade Agency) and Confindustria Marmomacchine).

After record-making success in 2016, with 1,670 exhibitors, including 1,070 international companies from 52 countries and 67,000 professional visitors, with more than 60% of total from abroad, efforts continue to encourage the internationalisation of the Italian natural stone sector as a field of excellence represented at Marmomac across the entire production chain, from blocks to finished products, from machinery to technology.

Thanks to funds made available by the Ministry, the promotion programme will develop along three main guidelines: the Italian Stone Theatre (the hall dedicated to culture, training and experimentation with stone); incoming activities targeting qualified trade operators and professionals on an international scale, and the third edition of the International Stone Summit.

The Italian Stone Theatre (Hall 1) is curated by architect Vincenzo Pavan and designer Raffaello Galiotto, and will host three important shows stimulating dialogue between natural stone, technology and machinery in order to give life to ambitious projects developed by renowned international architects and designers.

This hall is also home to the Forum Area which over the four days of the trade fair will welcome conferences, lectures and workshops as part of an intense calendar of meetings that also offer professional training credits. It will also be the venue for Ristorante d’Autore, a space dedicated to fine Italian food interpreted against a scenic background inspired as always by marble and stone with the ADI Veneto-Trentino Alto Adige Delegation.

With over 378 trade operators and 2,272 meetings at the course of the previous two editions, Marmomac once again focuses on incoming operations targeting an exclusive selection of international delegations comprising sector professionals attending specific technical training courses, B2B meetings and visits to local companies.

The International Stone Summit brings the main international trade associations to Verona to discuss the industry and exchange points of view during a global conference dedicated to natural stone.
