Jay Moreau succeeds Guy Edwards as CEO of LafargeHolcim's US aggregates and construction materials operations

8161 LafargeHolcim has appointed Jay Moreau as CEO of its US aggregates and construction materials operations.

Moreau succeeds Guy Edwards, who was recently appointed CEO of 1707 Aggregate Industries in the UK.

The Swiss-based building materials company says Moreau brings significant experience in the construction materials industry which will ensure the growth and success of its business in the US.

“Jay has a proven track record in this industry, and his expertise and strong focus on commercial growth and operational excellence will be valued contributions to LafargeHolcim in the US,” said René Thibault, LafargeHolcim Group executive committee member and region head, North America. “Having started his career in commercial roles, we know he will bring strong leadership to the organisation, and drive continued growth across our US business.”

Moreau joins LafargeHolcim from Martin Marietta, a supplier of building materials, where he held positions including regional vice president & general manager, division president and most recently senior vice president of operations services.

He has a Bachelor of Science degree in business/pre-law from Juniata College, and also holds certificates of achievement from Georgia Institute of Technology and University of Virginia-Darden School of Management. He has participated in numerous industry organisations and intends to continue his involvement.
