UK-based KKB 3R has just taken delivery of four Powerscreen Chieftain 1400 screens in a bid to improve efficiency of the business that handles over 2million tonnes of waste each year. According to KKB 3R managing director Chris Basi, the new 400tonne per hour capacity screens are ideal for high volume processing of C&D waste, overburden, asphalt waste and crushed stone.

KKB 3R's Chieftain 1400s have been specified with larger 4.3m feed hoppers and two have live heads that allow direct feed from a tandem crusher as well as hopper feeds. The other two have angle adjustable tipping grids which are radio-controlled via double acting hydraulic rams.
