Effective 1 April 2020, de Kruijf will take responsibility for the group's financial operations, regional finance teams and financial relations.

With the appointment of de Kruijf, Magna Tyres Group is assured of a financial expert as it continues to grow and embark on the upcoming years in the challenging off-highway equipment tyre business.

A highly qualified financial director with a strong background and a broad exposure in several financial disciplines, de Kruijf's financial expertise, astute analytical abilities and financial insights will, says company management, be a major asset and contribute immediately to advancing Magna Tyres Group's priorities.

Speaking about his new position, de Kruijf said: “I am very excited to have been appointed to the role as chief financial officer at such an industry-leading business as Magna Tyres Group. I am looking forward to contribute to the further execution of strategy and cost management performance in the upcoming years. As we expand our global footprint, capture new markets, my focus would be on further strengthening the balance sheet.”

A Magna Tyres Group spokesperson said: “We are confident Arjen de Kruijf possesses the kind of substantive expertise, leadership strength and business acumen that will help guide Magna Tyres as we continue to grow and strengthen our position as a global leading second-tier tyre brand.

"He is a tremendous asset for the company and will play a valuable role in the company's long-term strategic vision. His background, knowledge and management style are an excellent fit as we expand our global presence and work to enhance our already-strong financial position."

In addition, the position of Nico Jacobs within Magna Tyres Group changes as of 1 April 2020 to advisor financial projects.
