Chaney will obtain GreenRock's concrete plants in Amelia, Ashland, Charles City, Prince George and Richmond as well as three portable plants.

Chaney will also acquire GreenRock affiliated companies which include a locally owned concrete pumping company called Mid-Atlantic Concrete Pumping and Stony Creek Sand & Gravel, a mining operation that supplies materials to ready-mix, precast and asphalt producers.

Additionally, Chaney is to take over NSL Transport, an affiliated company that operates a fleet of bulk tankers and dump trailers.

As part of the deal, GreenRock's founder Micheal Lamb is to join Chaney as vice president of growth and acquisitions. He will be responsible for identifying and determining the feasibility of acquisitions and mergers and other growth initiatives.

Chaney says this is its fourth acquisition in Virginia following the opening of a ready-mix concrete plant in Lorton in May 2019. In 2017, the company acquired a ready-mix concrete plant in Bealeton and constructed a ready-mix plant in Gainesville in 2016.
