India's off-the-road tyre giant BKT (Balkrishna Industries) used a recent global trade media trip to Mumbai and its state-of-the-art site in Bhuj, Gujarat, to showcase its exciting growth plan. It includes a doubling of the company's turnover to US$2bn by 2026, raising annual tyre production to 600,000 tonnes, the building of a second fully digitalised carbon black production plant in Bhuj dedicated to external sales, and a second power plant to power BKT Bhuj's significantly enlarged operation.
