Caterpillar has confirmed Ken Hoefling, vice president of its Building Construction Products Division (BCP), has decided to leave the company to pursue other opportunities. A replacement will be announced in the near future.
Hoefling has led BCP since 2015, an organization responsible for designing, manufacturing and supporting Caterpillar’s line of small, versatile construction equipment and work tools.
He started working for the company as an engineer in 1990, and had additional engineering roles in France and the United States before progressing to marketing roles with, and serving as a facility manager in Shanghai, China. In 2007, he became general manager in the Reman Components Division and was appointed general manager of steel products in the Remanufacturing Components and Work Tools Division in 2013.
Bob De Lange, Caterpillar group president of construction industries, said: “We thank Ken for his many years of service to Caterpillar and its customers. We wish him well in his new endeavours.”
