Colombia-based Cementos Argos has received gold class distinction in RobecoSAM's 2020 Sustainability Yearbook for its commitment to environmental care and the safety of its collaborators.
María Isabel Echeverri, vice president of legal affairs and sustainability, at Cementos Argos says: “This new inclusion in the yearbook, in the gold category, challenges us to continue to maintain our high standards of sustainability, so that we can continue to contribute to the development and growth of our clients and the well-being of millions of people in all the territories in the that we are present.”
Additionally, parent company Grupo Argos also earned a gold class distinction while another subsidiary called Celsia received bronze.
RobecoSAM is a private entity that independently rates the companies that participate in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index and, from 2004 onwards, it lists in its Yearbook the most sustainable companies in each industry.
