Colombia-based Cementos Argos has entered the FTSE4Good global index for its commitment to sustainability.
María Isabel Echeverri, legal and sustainability vice president of Cementos Argos, says: "It is a source of pride to receive this recognition that highlights our teamwork and the great achievements we have obtained as a company in managing sustainability and creating value.”
The FTSE4Good index, belonging to FTSE Rusells, is an index in the global market on sustainability issues and recognised by investors for integrating these issues in investment decisions.
Argos says this news follows its recognition in the latest version of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index as the second most sustainable company in the world in its sector and gold medal in the RobecoSAM 2020 Sustainability Yearbook.
