Cemex has confirmed its cement plants in Miami, Victorville and Brooksville South has achieved the US Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Energy Star Certification 2018. The award recognises the company’s efforts in energy efficiency and sustainability.
The company says its Miami plant has received the Energy Star certification for eight consecutive years, while Victorville has earned the recognition for seven straight years. Cemex’s Brooksville South plant has achieved the certification for six out of the last seven years.
According to Cemex, each plant followed energy-efficiency principles established by the EPA’s guidelines and implemented energy conservation technologies along with energy-reduction projects.
