Lehigh Hanson says four of its cement plants have earned the US Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA’s) Energy Star certification for 2018 for meeting energy efficiency performance levels.
According to Lehigh Hanson, this is the sixth consecutive year the Union Bridge (Maryland) plant has received Energy Star certification, the fifth consecutive year for the Leeds (Alabama) plant and the second consecutive year for the Redding (California) plant. Also, the Tehachapi (California) plant earned the award.
