Man rescued from submerged bulldozer at Hi Crush Sandmine in Whitehall

An employee at Hi-Crush Sand Mine was rescued from a bulldozer that became submerged in a pond in Whitehall. According to Leader-Telegram: “A large response of law enforcement officers, rescue divers, firefighters, paramedics and other emergency workers was ordered.”

The report says A 911 call was made at 7:53 a.m. reported the incident at W27507 Highway O.

A rescue boat team got the man to safety after he was pulled from the bulldozer.

According to article: “Several firefighters were treated and released from Tri-County Memorial Hospital for minor injuries incurred during the rescue, according to the Trempealeau County sheriff’s office.”

The victim’s identity was not released by the sheriff’s office. The incident is currently under investigation.
