NSSGA appoints vice president of government and regulatory affairs

March 20, 2019

The National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) has promoted Michele Stanley to vice president of government and regulatory affairs. She will lead efforts to advance public policies that protect and expand the safe and environmentally responsible use of aggregates.

Michael W. Johnson, NSSGA president and CEO, says: “She has proven time and again to be someone that our members can trust to effectively lead our advocacy program, and she has earned the respect of those around her.”

Stanley has more than 15 years of experience in public policy and political advocacy and was most recently senior director of government affairs. Prior to that, she was a government affairs director at the National Asphalt Pavement Association.

Stanley says: “This is an exciting time in our industry as we strongly advocate for increased infrastructure investment; break down the permitting barriers for our member companies, large and small; and strive to keep our workers safe at quarries, in work zones and at home.”
