The National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) has appointed Kerry Lynch director of communications and press secretary to communicate the value of the aggregates industry to government and the public.
Chuck Fuqua, NSSGA vice president of communications, says: “Kerry has a great ability to understand public policy issues and communicate them effectively to target audiences.
"I am excited to have Kerry as part of our team to communicate the positive impact aggregates producers have on our economy and in our communities.”
Lynch most recently served as the director of public affairs for Michael Torrey Associates, where she executed communications strategies for clients across various sectors.
She received a 2018 Thoth Award from PRSA-NCC for her contributions to a social media advocacy campaign launched ahead of the 2018 Farm Bill.
Prior to that, Lynch performed media relations, brand management and events for several organisations.
She graduated magna cum laude in communications-public relations from North Carolina State University and has a MBA from Shenandoah University in Virginia.
Lynch says: “The aggregates industry is vital to our nation’s growth and will be an essential part of our economic recovery and progress in the coming months.
"I am excited to use my talent for strategic planning and advocacy background to promote our members and the important work they do.”
