The National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) has extended the application deadline for the Awards of Excellence until 31 May.
NSSGA says the extension comes follows members who have been advocating for their businesses and industry during National Infrastructure Week. Members met with lawmakers during Highway Materials Group and Transportation Construction Coalition events while others submitted letters to members of Congress with NSSGA's online tools to encourage progress on infrastructure spending.
In light of this work, the Association wants to make sure members have enough time to apply for recognitions for operations through the US with the annual Awards of Excellence.
NSSGA opened the application process in March for the annual Community Relations, Environment and Safety Excellence Awards. These will be presented during the Legislative & Policy Forum 18-20 Nov, so that member companies can share the recognition with their legislators on Capitol Hill and educate them on the safe and responsible operations.
