The National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) says member companies can apply for Relations, Safety and Health and Environmental Excellence until 17 May. The awards will be presented at the association's Legislative & Policy Forum from 18-20 November in Washington, D.C.
The programme acknowledges the commitment of member companies to safety, community involvement and environmental stewardship.
NSSGA says members of Congress and regulators will be invited to take part in the presentation of the awards to outstanding operations. These awards can also be used to educate lawmakers and regulators on how aggregates operations support their communities, care for the environment and are committed to safety.
Members can also nominate candidates for individual recognitions like the James M. Christie Safety & Health Professional of the Year Award or the Environmental Leadership Award through May 17 on the awards application site.
The Barry K. Wendt Memorial Commitment Award, sponsored by the M&S Division, will still be presented at the association’s Annual Convention, 8-10 March in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The 2019 awards will be given based on work completed from January through December 2018. For information on all of NSSGA’s awards and rules, please visit the NSSGA Awards Webpage.
