The Slag Cement Association (SCA) is offering free presentations on slag cement use to concrete industry groups in the US, based on the most highly requested topics.
A session called Slag Cement Use in Concrete Mix Design will cover the uses, applications and benefits of slag cement in concrete mix design. It will also explore association resources and case studies of slag cement use in buildings, highways and more.
Slag Cement and Sustainability will cover slag cements sustainable attributes and how it contributes to the durability and longevity of a structure. The presentation will also feature a walk-through of the Slag Cement Life Cycle Assessment Calculator and Environmental Product Declaration for slag cement. Slides will also showcase studies using the product in the green design and sustainability categories.
Additionally, Slag Cement in Soil Stabilisation will offer information on how slag cement can be used in soil stabilisation projects. It will focus on the design process, standard design criteria, laboratory testing examples and field test case studies.
Meanwhile, Award Winning Slag Cement Case Studies will provide an overview of 2017 and 2017 Slag Cement Project of the Year Award winners as case studies of outstanding slag cement use in concrete.
