Dewsbury Sand and Gravel’s team has been working with the Finlay Group for two and a half years.
Previously they have hired plant from Finlay Hire (also part of the Finlay Group), which offers one of the UK’s largest hire fleets of crushers, conveyors, mobile screens and washing equipment.
“I have worked with Terex Finlay screeners on previous projects and they’ve always proved their worth,” says Shaun Kelleher, group operations manager at Dewsbury Sand and Gravel.
“They are versatile and reliable machines and the service package that the Finlay Group offer is second to none. We could not be happier with our investment.”
The Terex Finlay 683 Supertrak boasts maximum on-site mobility, with the twin-track undercarriage controllable by a hand-held remote, and it combines scalping, screening and stockpiling into one self-contained unit.
Its rugged design features a 3.65m x 1.5m screen and it handles materials such as sand and gravel as well as limestone, crushed stone, coal, topsoil and demolition waste.
Standard features include remote tipping reject grid, the hydraulic screen tensioning of bottom deck mesh and three onboard hydraulic folding conveyors.
The machine is fed with raw feed from a washing plant and is producing material at sizes 20mm and 10mm, down to grit sand for companies in the West Yorkshire area.
It is running 10 hours a day and producing in excess of 700 tonnes of sand and gravel.
Martin Nairn, of Finlay Plant Northern, said: “It’s been great to see Dewsbury Sand and Gravel benefit from the introduction of the 683 Supertrak.
“They’re a great company to work with and I’m really looking forward to future projects with them.”
