With the postponement to April 2021, the 11th steinexpo will take place a whole year before bauma, the world's biggest construction and quarrying equipment trade fair, that follows in April 2022.
steinexpo organisers say the new spring show date is matched to mining industry working needs because the exhibition does not take place in a ‘normal’ showground but in an active basalt quarry. This is said to create specific challenges for both parties. The organisers have to adapt the trade fair concept to the available terrain, while the quarry operator also keeps the requirements for the next trade fair in mind when planning its mining operations.
