Rescheduled steinexpo gets strong exhibitor support

The organisers of steinexpo, which has been rescheduled from this year to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, say that around 85% of exhibitors registered for the 2020 event have already indicated they will participate next year.

The 11th edition of the raw materials and building materials event will now be held from 14-17 April 2021 at the MHI stone quarry site in Nieder-Ofleiden, Germany.

The steinexpo organiser says the remaining 15% of registered exhibitors have not cancelled their participation but have left the possibility open, dependent in many cases on the ongoing impact of COVID-19.

Messe Friedrichshafen CEO Dr Friedhelm Rese commented: “Almost all partners and also many interested exhibitors agreed that the early decision to postpone the fair was the only sensible solution in view of the Coronavirus situation."

Messe Friedrichshafen says that the April 2021 exhibition will be marked by additional changes due to the safety regulations that need to be implemented in light of COVID-19.

Possible mandatory protective measures related to COVID-19 are being planned in advance, although their exact nature has not been currently confirmed. Basic hygiene rules that range from social distancing to disinfection are all part of the planning deliberations.
