Ann-Sofie Räftegård appointed head of HR at Volvo CE

Ann-Sofie Räftegård has been appointed as the new senior vice president, Human Resources at Volvo CE

With effect from October 1, 2019 latest, Ann-Sofie Räftegård will take up the role of senior vice president, Human Resources at Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE).

Räftegård will lead Human Resources by driving talent management, compensation and benefits, workforce planning, diversity and engagement of Volvo CE’s global workforce of over 14,000 people. She will report to company president Melker Jernberg and be a member of the Executive Management Team (EMT).

She joins Volvo from having spent more than three years at the Swedish Höganäs Group, where she was senior vice president of Human Resources. Prior to that Räftegård has held important roles at IKEA, Daimler/Mercedes Benz, Johns Manville and Perstorp. She is bilingual in Swedish and English and holds a degree and diploma as a Gestalt Practitioner in Organisation from the Stockholm Gestalt Academy in Sweden. Räftegård also has a degree in Human Resource Management from Växjö University in Sweden.

3573 Volvo CE’s new senior vice president, Human Resources will be based in Gothenburg, Sweden. She replaces Diana Niu, who took up the role of executive vice president of Human Resource Management for the Volvo Group from 1 January 2019.
