Dyfrig James, regional president for Northern and Central Europe for
Nigel Jackson, chief executive MPA, paid tribute to O'Shea's work throughout his term, saying: “Positive feedback about Patrick has been received from members from all around the country. Members have appreciated the effort Patrick made to attend so many regional and other MPA events and listen to their points of view and concerns. He has demonstrated admirably how it is possible to take the wider industry view within MPA for the good of all companies and the sector. MPA would like to thank Patrick for his contribution to the Association’s development over the last two years and wish Dyfrig every success for his two-year tenure.”
As well as being regional president for Lafarge, Dyfrig James is also chairman of Lafarge Aggregates and Concrete in the UK and a member of Lafarge’s Aggregate and Concrete’s global executive committee.
Dyfrig James said: "I am proud to take over the role of MPA Chairman from Patrick and am keen to contribute as fully as I can to the association and its activities over the next two years. I am passionate about continuing to improve health and safety standards across our industry and am a passionate believer in the construction industry playing an active and leading part in a sustainable world.”
