Italcementi aim to invest €100mn in Rezzato site

Italian cement manufacturer Italcementi has revealed plans to invest more than € 100 million in its plant in Rezzato, Lombardy. The firm is thought to have set up talks with various banking groups regarding financial support for the renovation works, including UBI Banca and the European Investment Bank (EIB). The deal may be sealed within the course of the next few weeks.

Italian cement manufacturer 726 Italcementi has revealed plans to invest more than € 100 million in its plant in Rezzato, Lombardy.

The firm is thought to have set up talks with various banking groups regarding financial support for the renovation works, including UBI Banca and the European Investment Bank (EIB). The deal may be sealed within the course of the next few weeks.

Meanwhile, Italcementi subsidiary 6699 Italgen is rumoured to be close to obtaining planning permission for the construction of Egypt's largest wind farm, a project that was originally launched in 2010-2011. The plant is to be built in partnership with local firm Egyptian Electric Holding Company (EEHC).
