Italian natural stone and processing technology exports set off again

The Italian marble industry has resumed growth on international markets.

Following the consolidation of results in 2014, the first quarter of 2015 is hallmarked by a resumption in exports.

This upturn is driven by the 18.6% leap in international sales for stone quarrying and processing technologies, improving turnover up to €260 million.

Italian natural stone exports to USA show growth

In the period January-October 2014, Italian exports of unhewn, processed and semi-finished materials to the USA rose in value from €298.1 million to €303.2 million, a 1.7% increase compared to the same period in 2013.

Sale of Italian stone nears €1bn as Marmomac 2017 approaches

The Italian stone industry is continuing to grow on markets with exports increasing in the first half of 2017.
As Italy prepares to host the 52nd Marmomac in Verona from 27-30 September, it has also been revealed that the sale of rough blocks, semi-finished and finished materials totalled €969 million (+3.3%), while machinery and technology also performed well, posting €640 million (+26.3%) in H1.

Italian stone and marble exports post 7.4% growth in H1/2012

Italian exports of stone and marble products rose 7.4% to €835.4 million in the first half of 2012, according to a survey carried out by Italian stone industry trade fair Marmomacc. Exports went up by 23% to the US, from €101 million in 2011 to €124.7 million in 2012. Exports to Russia rose by 3.8%, and those to Germany from €72.3 million to €78.5 million - an 8.6% increase.
