Intuitive software solutions provider to the mining and exploration industry, 6658 MICROMINE, has boosted its global presence by launching a new office in Gävle, Sweden.

The company’s expansion into the region follows a continued programme of growth in recent years, through successive office openings across Russia and South America.

As part of MICROMINE’s European sector, the Nordic office will provide sales and service support in Swedish, Finnish, Danish and Norwegian languages, and will encompass growing exploration activity in Greenland. Demonstrating MICROMINE’s commitment to ensuring local representation and support, the office will provide customers across the Nordic regions with easy access to MICROMINE’s full suite of software products, “a portfolio that spans the entire mining process and drives reductions in costs, easier planning and increased efficiency through technological integration.”

The Nordic operation will be managed by Peter Häggroth, whose expertise spans the areas of mining machine control, surveying and construction.

MICROMINE’s CEO, Kevin Fitzpatrick says: “We have seen considerable demand for a stronger presence in the Nordic region. We are thrilled to have found someone of Peter Häggroth’s calibre and experience. Peter will be able to make this growth a reality, and drive MICROMINE’s success across Nordic countries.”
