Spain’s Cupa Stone opens sixth distribution centre with showroom in Padron

Natural stone production specialist Cupa Stone its sixth Spanish distribution centre in Spain. Costing €1 million, the 1,500m² centre in Padron will stock more than 200 of the 500 products the firm manages. It will serve as a showroom for customers and will also have work spaces for its commercial division and management for its own warehouse.

PPC chief executive Darryll Castle leaves SA cement giant

PPC chief executive Darryll Castle is to step down immediately to pursue other interests, the South African cement giant has revealed. Castle's resignation follows the departure of independent non-executive director Tito Mboweni, former Reserve Bank governor, who resigned on July 18 with no explanation. Castle has been at the helm for nearly three years at PPC, which is in the midst of negotiating a possible merger with its nearest rival Afrisam.
