Wholly-owned subsidiaries of Shell in Switzerland, the UK, US and Sweden have entered into agreements to acquire the Environmentally Considerate Lubricants (ECLs) business of the PANOLIN Group.

The transaction includes the PANOLIN brand, ECL product formulations, intellectual property, technical expertise and technology, international customer base and portfolio of products – for hydraulics, gears, universal tractor transmission oils, biodegradable engine oils (HDEO), turbine oils, chainsaw oils and greases for machine lubrication, including leading OEM-approved products.

CEMEX has continued its solid top-line growth, with third-quarter net sales growing 13% to US$3.956bn.

Over 80% of the cement operation's carbon emissions are released during clinker production. 2030 is a crucial benchmark for the carbon neutrality journey: reducing the CO2 footprint while producing enough cement to meet demand will be challenging. Also, substituting fossil fuel with carbon-neutral fuel is the key to achieving the 2030 and 2050 targets.

CEMEX says it will soon become the first global building materials supplier to bring construction-grade 3D concrete printing technology to Mexico. CEMEX and business partner COBOD plan to use their technology to deliver a superior experience to customers through a novel construction method designed to bring significant cost and time savings.
