Ground engineering and rock drilling specialist, Skelair International, has appointed Steve Lashley as operations supervisor for its contract drilling and blasting division. Ground engineering and rock drilling specialist, 6729 Skelair International, has appointed Steve Lashley as operations supervisor for its contract drilling and blasting division.

The Holmes Chapel, County Cheshire, north-west England-based company recruited Lashley from Bam Ritchies where he gained over 20 years’ experience across the full range of quarry operations.

Taking over six permanent sites and regular project assignments from clients such as the Forestry Commission, he will also be responsible for driving forward new business and expanding the portfolio of services.

A Member of the Institute of Explosives Engineers, he said: “The scope of the role gives me flexibility to shape the future of the business and at the same time put into practice all of the skills I have acquired during my time in the industry.”

John Mayo, managing director, Skelair International, said: “Steve possesses well respected knowledge and has great drive when it comes to looking at how we can continue to develop the business.”
