The factory operated by cement company, Lafarge, in Villaluenga de la Sagra in Spain, contributed €35 million to the regional economy of Castilla-La Mancha in 2013, according to the factory manager, Mariano Garcia Hoyos.
The contribution came through taxes, wages, contracting of services, sponsorship, donations and agreements.
The factory has employed 170 people directly and indirectly, and supplied 60,000tonnes of cement for the Legutiano Tunnel in Vitoria; 23,000tonnes for the construction of wareh
