RSS3762 W.S. Tyler, a member of the wholly-owned German-based Haver & Tyler Processing Technology Alliance, and a manufacturer of screening, washing and pelletising equipment and services, has released The Rock Book in three additional languages. It is now available in English, Chinese, French and Spanish.

The company says that since its initial release in 2012, The Rock Book’s popularity for aggregate, mining and industrial minerals processing knowledge and expertise has grown far beyond English-speaking nations. Like the English edition, the new language editions include the latest technologies, definitions and specification tables for screening, washing and pelletizing operations.

W.S. Tyler and its network of sister companies are located in North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa and, most recently, Australia.

W.S. Tyler president Karen Thompson says adjusting the resource to meet the needs of operations in these diverse markets has been a top priority.

“The Rock Book is part of our ongoing effort to be a more valuable partner to our customers,” says Thompson.

“We primarily intended it as a resource for North America, but the overseas resonance has been simply astounding, especially after the digital version hit the Internet a few months ago. The Rock Book has raised the bar in terms of providing useful information for anyone in the mining, aggregate and industrial minerals industries, and it just makes sense to have it at mines and quarries in all parts of the world.”
Thompson added it is surprising how many North American operations request The Rock Book in different languages. The Spanish version is especially popular, she said, because so many operators and maintenance technicians come from Latin America.

From detailed information about the various wire meshes used in screening to open area calculations and the most advanced technologies used in processing today, The Rock Book is said to be an effective resource and training tool for all mines and quarries.

“This encyclopedia of screening information can educate novice employees on the basics of screening, while at the same time helping a skilled technician or engineer identify the required screen media and vibrating screen components and accessories for specific application challenges,” says the company.

The Rock Book includes full-colour images, detailed 3-D schematic drawings and specific descriptions throughout its five sections: screens, components, equipment, services and resources.

W. S. Tyler says that the book is free and available in print, online or as a downloadable pdf.
