Shantui has suppled SD32 bulldozers and SE210 excavators to the Zambian National Service
After what was described as months of intense bidding and negotiations, Chinese construction equipment manufacturer 8013 Shantui has wrapped up a deal with the Zambian National Service to supply it with over US$4 million worth of equipment.
Consisting of SD32 bulldozers and 20tonne SE210 excavators, the machines will be used as part of a programme employing youth to develop infrastructure throughout the country. The machines were successfully shipped from the Port of Tianjin in northern China in late February 2015.
Combined with the sale last year to the Kenya National Youth Service, this shipment is said by Shantui to indicate its growing strength in Africa. Shantui’s claimed novel value proposition, combined with its wide range of products customized for the local market, is said to have led to an increased demand for the brand.
