Campaigners are opposed to plans to reopen a quarry in County Cornwall, south-west England. The quarry is likely to supply Cornish stone for a proposed tidal energy project in Swansea Bay, Wales. Campaigners are opposed to plans to reopen a quarry in County Cornwall, south-west England.

The quarry is likely to supply Cornish stone for a proposed tidal energy project in Swansea Bay, Wales.

It is reported that Shire Oak Quarries is pursuing plans to reopen the quarry near St Kevergne, which would supply around 3 million tonnes of stone for the tidal project.

Local campaigners have joined forces as Cornwall Against Dean Super Quarry to fight the reopening.
