Insurgency in Nigeria’s northeast costs Lafarge around US$12.57mn

The insurgency in northeast Nigeria has cost Lafarge Africa around US$12.57 million (NGN 2.5 billion), according to chief executive Guillaume Roux. The company will also partner with the Presidential Initiative on the North East (PINE) for rebuilding the region and restoring normalcy. Roux has told national media that the recovery of the region is critical to the future of the company's US$ 100 billion business expansion drive. The company will also partner with the Presidential Initiative on the North East (PINE) for rebuilding the region and restoring normalcy.
